Leigh Rhianon Coggins

Leigh grew up in Bridgend, South Wales. She graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with a BMus (Hons) in Voice. Prior to graduating, she had already performed as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier and Madame Warblewell in Der Schauspieldirektor (Little Venice Opera) and in The Rakes Progress and Candide (Welsh National Youth Opera). Leigh also performed in La Boheme at Longborough Festival Opera 2009.

Theatre credits include: YumYum, The Mikado (National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company); Mabel, Pirates of Penzance (National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company); Singer, Thursford Christmas Spectacular (Thursford);  Christine Daae (played/covered), 25th Anniversary Tour of The Phantom of the Opera (UK & Dublin); Mabel, Pirates of Penzance (Kilworth House Theatre); Cosette (played/covered), 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables (UK & Paris); Cosette for the Barbican Company and Featured Ensemble fo25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables (O2)Cosette for the Les Miserables section at the Olivier Awards 2010; Ensemble for the Les Miserables section at the Royal Variety Performance 2010 (London Palladium). 

Television credits include: Visual Singer for the T Mobile advert (Heathrow Terminal 5).

Recording credits include: Ensemble (Inn Keeper/Whore), Les Miserables Live recording; Ensemble, My Lands Shore.

Leigh attained the Osborne Roberts’ Most Outstanding Soprano Award at the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2008.
